New Image Donation 2 Left to right, MRAAA Director of Communications Steve Harmic accepts a cash donation, plus multiple donated items of hats, gloves, blankets, and more from New Image Tattoo Owner Christina Shaffer, and staff members Ed McGonigal, Chris Harris, and Jess Hoyt. All funds and items will benefit local senior citizens in need.

CLEARFIELD, PA. – Artists at New Image Tattoo Studio in Clearfield have contributed $700 to MRAAA. Studio Owner Christina Shaffer chose to support MRAAA with the annual New Image Holiday Fundraiser.

Ornaments were available for purchase at the New Image studio, 15196 Clearfield/Shawville Highway, Clearfield, PA, at the Sapp Bros. Truckstop. For $5 apiece, purchasers could place their name on an ornament and hang it on the studio’s Christmas Tree, for a chance in a drawing to win a $100 gift certificate for New Image. The winner of the certificate was Laura Williams.

All proceeds from ornament sales benefit MRAAA, helping the agency to continue offering aid to seniors in need. At this time of year, assistance with heating and electricity bills, as well as warm clothing and meals, are among the needs of greatest importance. New Image also collected items to further help meet these needs, including, but not limited to, donations for fuel assistance, coats, gloves, scarves, socks, and personal hygiene products.

“We wanted to do something for people in our community; something with a local impact that helps people right here in our area,” Shaffer said.

For the past 10 years, since the holiday fundraiser’s inception, staff have chosen a different organization each year as the recipient of the goodwill of New Image customers. Over the last decade, those organizations have included the Allegheny Spay and Neuter Clinic, Little Bags of Sunshine, the Child Advocacy Center, Pennsylvania Veterans Affairs, Clearfield-Jefferson Suicide Prevention, and more.

New Image Tattoo Studio has operated since 2000. For more information on their holiday fundraising efforts and support of MRAAA contact the studio at 814-762-9545 or find them on Facebook.
